The Carabiner Keychain utilises an Italian made 316 AISI stainless steel carabine with a steel eye that holds the split ring in place. An Italian vegetable tanned Buttero leather tab is Z-stitched to the spine with German Ritza thread. The tab provides extra grip when clipping and unclipping the keychain. The carabiner snaps shut with its spring loaded straight gate and is tested to a breaking load of 150 Kg.

Care

Avoid direct contact with water. For stains, gently rub the surface with a damp soft cotton cloth and dry for a short time in the sun or a blower. Over time, use a colorless leather cream to clean and moisturize your item.

Our products are packed in reusable kraft boxes/envelopes and dustbags.

Italian Vegetable Tanned Buttero Leather

Buttero is a traditional full-grain leather from the renowned Conciera Walpier Tannery. Shoulders of hides, are tanned using natural vegetable tannins such as the barks of trees and other organic materials resulting in a buttery smooth and firm surface. The leather has a matte finish which gathers a deep and glossy patina with time and use.

Handmade

All of our products are individually handmade in our studio using traditional leather crafting techniques. Full-grain leathers, sourced from the finest Italian tanneries are cut, stitched and burnished by hand to create designs that combine functionality with minimal and modern aesthetics.
